- Ostuni Festival and Procession (26th August)
- Alberobello Festival (27/28th September)
Alberobello Folk Festival (first weekend in August)
Alberobello is home to one of the most famous Italian Folk Groups. Every year a Folk Festival is held inviting international folk groups from all over the world to perform.
The festival concludes with a performance by Alberobello’s own group “Gruppo Folkloristico Citta dei Trulli”. The festival is free and is set against the picturesque backdrop of the Trulli panorama.
Locorotondo and Ceglie Messapica Street Festival (16th August)
A large festival held in the heart of the historical Locorotndo town centre, with a large firework display over the Itria Valley. It is held in celebration of St. Rocco one of the patron saints of the town.
A similar celebration is held in Ceglie Messapica with lovely lights illuminating Piazza Piebiscito.
Ostuni Festival and Procession (26th August)
Festival of St. Oronzo. A procession with horses and traditional costumed riders called the 'Cavalcata' who follow the statue through the small and climbing streets. Live bands, street decorations and markets create a unique town festival.
Alberobello Festival (27/28th September)
A celebration in honour of the patron saints Cosma e Damiano. Decorations and lighting throughout the streets, with 24-hour mass, a firework display, live brass bands, street performers and a funfair are just some of the features of this festival. The main feature of this celebration is the procession of the statues of the two saints with broadcasted mass and a large brass band.
